Have you noticed that in today’s world there is a general lack of civility? I have started a campaign that will not cost you any money, just a commitment to Practice Kindness.
Be kind in your speech and in your actions.
- Before you speak, ask yourself, can I say it more kindly?
- When you are asked to do something, do it without complaining. Less talking will get the job done faster.
- If you are having a problem on your job talk to your supervisor, not all or your coworkers and clients.
- If you have to wait in a line, do it without complaining. You can wait patiently or impatiently, but you still have the same wait.
- Commit yourself not to expect any more kindness from another than you extend.
- Extend kindness even though it hasn’t been extended and understand that it might not be returned.
- Remember, the only person you have control over is you.
Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and Jesus showed us that one person can change the world.
